Description
The product line of recycled and reclaimed timbers is exclusive to Sarwood Timbers & Building Supplies in the Northern Rivers and Gold Coast.
Reclaimed Timber
Unused forest logs are converted into straight millable timber that can be used for new and restored buildings and houses.
Recycled Timber
Old timber from buildings, bridges and wharves is recycled in a sawmill and can be used for new houses and buildings. The timber’s life is extended beyond its original purpose and therefore continues to be a vital store of carbon (40-50% of timber’s gross weight is carbon).
The advantages of recycled timbers are the positive environmental effects, including conservation of old growth forests, increased carbon storage and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Recycled and reclaimed hardwood timbers can be used for:
- Recycled Flooring
- Decking
- Cladding
- Posts and Beams
- Stair Treads
- Feature Timbers
They can then be re-used to create unique effects and add personality and character in a wide range of applications.
